Craps: betting on Come

In this casino dice game, besides betting on the Pass Line and Don’t Pass Line, one of the main options available is to bet on Come. This bet has the same paying odds as betting in the Pass Line or Don´t Pass Line, which are 1 to 1.

The main difference between them is that you can place your wager after the round has begun, and a Point number has already been selected. This is after the first roll of the dice. Remember that in one single round there can be many successive dice rolls.

To place your bet you must simply put the chips in the appropriate Come box, which is one of the largest on the table. When the dice roll over again, unless you get a 7, which automatically ends the play, your Come wager will be assigned to the resulting number, as long as that number is one that can be a Point number (which are 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10). Then the stickman moves your chips to that number, and unless a 7 appears, you will win when that number comes out.

Of course, your bet on the Pass Line is still going on until the Point number or the 7 appear. But, while waiting for that outcome, your Come bets allow you to play with some of the other numbers, which adds more excitement to the game.

You can place your Come bet before each time the dice roll, in order to add one different number every time. We could say that in a way, the Come bets work as parallel bet until the play ends with a 7 or the designated Point number. However, it is wise not to have more than two Come numbers per play, because that diminishes your chances of winning.
